Igor Moiseyev Ballet Live in Paris

In 1937, Igor Alexandrovich Moiseyev, a Ukrainian ballet dancer passionate about the various choreographical traditions he found all around the Soviet Union, was entrusted by the government with a State folk dance ensemble : the Moiseyev Ballet was born ! With his company, he choreographed more than 200 ballets inspired by traditional folk dance.

The 70 dancers of the Igor Moiseyev Ballet take us thus on a journey around the world and through the regions of the former Soviet Union, revealing an incredible multitude of folklores, including Moldovan, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Nanai, Kalmyk, Tatar, Adjaran and Caucasian.
